What you’ll be doing...

Locations: Irving, TX and Richardson, TX. Responsible for the detection, prevention and remediation of cyber security threats using security information and event management (SIEM) technologies and tools; work with the Security Operations Center to detect and investigate cyber threats such as viruses, hacking incidents, malicious insider/employee behaviors and other emerging security threats; interpret log output and reports from diverse information security tools and controls; analyze network communications, security models and business relevance of information security threats and controls using network forensic tools; identify the areas of improvement on the overall cyber security posture and ensure cyber risks are appropriately identified, categorized and brought to senior management’s attention; lead cyber incident response; review the escalated information security incidents and verify remedial and preventative measures; serve as the Subject Matter Expert for operational and analytical security tools deployed in the IT infrastructure, manage the tools, technologies and processes, mentor junior and mid-level staff, and ensure Service Level Agreements are met and executed; travel in the US for up to 20% of work time.

What we’re looking for...

Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field and 3 years of experience using SIEM technologies and tools; interpreting log output and reports from diverse information security tools and controls; and analyzing network communications, security models and business relevance of information security threats and controls. In lieu of Master’s degree and 3 years of experience, employer will accept Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above followed by 5 years of progressive experience in the skill sets stated above. Experience therein to include 1 year in cyber incident response and using network forensic tools. Also requires travel in the US for up to 20% of work time.
