This position works in tandem with VPs Business Development in the development, implementation, and evolution of the C&S sales plan and strategy. The Business Development Consultant supports the activities and processes associated with opportunity pursuit.

Primary Responsibilities:

New Opportunity Support

Support Vice Presidents, Business Development in facilitating internal sales process from development, proposal prep, and through implementation of sold business to minimize administrative work of business developers who will be focused on building relationships with prospects

In support of the Vice President, Business Development, drive strategy development within territory

Primary conduit to assist the Vice President, Business Development in connecting with the internal organization (solution development teams, proposal, pricing, product) keeping all necessary parties in sync throughout the opportunity development process

Work with internal organization to optimize and improve outputs for sale and remove barriers (pricing, proposal, product, etc.)

Ensure CRM system (SFDC) is appropriately updated throughout sales process to reflect most current information on opportunities in the pipeline

Ensure all campaign or executive reporting requests are updated throughout sales process

Assist Vice President with growth plans / strategies and support implementation of territory plans

Act as backup for VPs when not available to answer questions from clients, prospects, and consultants. Be knowledgeable about the status of issues related to potential customers. Seek quick resolution and answers

Meeting Preparation / Support

Provides review and edits on materials provided for client meetings to ensure it meets requested needs

Prepare for client meetings (capability presentations, finalist, other) including researching and cascading information on the client, preparing presentation materials, identifying subject matter expert participants, and confirmation of scheduling

Gather data on follow up questions and provide information to consultants and clients following capability meetings and finalist presentations

Manage operational logistics of sales meetings, activities and tracking

Orals / Post Proposal Support

Lead the project management of the orals development process

Identify and coordinate with all required subject matter experts

Engage the support of an orals coach when needed

Lead the coordination / scheduling of orals preparation meetings
This role will cover the Central Region

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or Higher

3+ years experience with community based organizations

3+ years experience interacting with C-Suite leadership

3+ years Medicaid / Medicare experience

Ability to influence and create credibility for the organization

Demonstrated research experience

Experience presenting internally and externally
